Celebrity Chef Felice Vacca

"Each time I create a dish, its like a dream"

Before Vaticano welcomed its first guest in Toronto, Chef Felice Vacca was learning lessons that would shape the rest of his life. Raised in Cassino, just south of Rome, he spent countless hours on his grandparents' farm, where meals began in the garden rather than the grocery store.  Nothing was wasted, and nothing was rushed. Those early experiences taught him that good food comes from quality ingredients. That philosophy remains at the heart of Vaticano today.

For Chef Felice Vacca, cooking has always been about creating moments that people remember. After bringing his culinary vision to Canada, he established Vaticano as a restaurant dedicated to authentic Italian cuisine rooted in family traditions and freshness.

His passion extended beyond the restaurant. Through television appearances, including his cooking program Felice and Friends, guest appearances on morning television, and a cameo in Freaky Friday, he introduced audiences to the warmth, simplicity, and generosity that define Italian cooking.

Over the years, Vaticano has welcomed internationally recognized actors, musicians, athletes, entrepreneurs, and public figures. Not as celebrities, but as guests at the family table. The restaurant’s reputation was built on warmth, consistency, and the feeling of being at home.

But for those who know Vaticano, his true stage has always been the dining room.
