There is no single definition of a mother. No one shape, path, or story that fits them all.
"Mother" is a role taken on in a thousand quiet, often invisible, ways.
It’s the aunt who never missed a birthday.
The grandmother who still calls you her baby.
The older sister who packed your lunch.
The friend who cared, without ever being asked.
The teacher who created a safe space to ask questions.
It’s the neighbor who steps in, the foster parent who shows up, the mother who longs to be, the mother's we've lost or the ones who’ve had to say goodbye too soon.
We honour all the women who mother in their own ways, who teach us, guide us, love us. This Mother’s Day, we celebrate you.
Thank you for showing up, for loving, for being. You make the world, and every table, brighter.
